This year, all the outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) had either already changed signs or are about to move into new signs.

Next in line to shift into a new sign is Uranus.

Uranus is a wild card, known for its unpredictability and surprises.

This slow-moving generational planet can change the status quo in the blink of an eye, before we can even process what’s going on.

Having an Aquarius Rising, I tend to feel Uranian transits in profound ways at times because Uranus (being the moder ruler of Aquarius) is one of my chart rulers (in addition to Saturn, which is the ancient ruler of Aquarius).

I remember the first day when Uranus ingressed into Taurus, back on 15 May 2018 (GMT), as clear as night and day.

That was the same day when I made massive changes to my diet, quite unexpectedly because of something shocking I witnessed out of the blue.

That’s how Uranian energy works – it’s swift and sudden, and it yanks you out of your comfort zone where you have no choice but to cut ties in the blink of an eye.

Also, when Uranus moved into Taurus, it squared (friction) my natal Moon and Saturn.

Moon is the natural significator of home and Saturn represents structure. And I have Taurus on my IC (one of the angles in our charts at the bottom representing our roots) and my 4th house (home).

At that time, I was preparing for a major relocation.

Uranus often played a massive role in my life when it came to moving, including to different countries.

When Uranus gets activated, it can also ignite major upheavals in one’s life.

Uranus doesn’t play by the rules.

It laughs in the face of tradition, and dismantles what’s tried and true.

There’s a reason it has the reputation for being an oddball.

It’s the only planet in our solar system that spins on its side vertically. And its unusual traits are mirrored in our lives when it gets triggered, during which certain situations can turn upside-down.

To be honest, I’m glad that Uranus will be leaving Taurus.

Uranus and Taurus are not necessarily the best match.

A fixed earth sign like Taurus likes to move at a snail’s pace (and sometimes it does not want to move at all), while a planet like Uranus works with lightening speed.

On 7 Jul 2025, Uranus will be moving into Gemini.

Gemini is a mutable air sign.

Unlike Taurus which is slow to move, a light and airy sign like Gemini moves fast.

Part A is free to watch – HERE.

I’ve actually been looking forward to Uranus shifting into the sign of the twins for a while now.

Last time I was excited when a planet changed sign was when Pluto (the slowest-moving planet in our solar system) first ingressed into Aquarius (another air sign) back on 23 May 2023.

Both Uranus and Pluto will be within an orb of a trine (lucky aspect) to one another in the same element (air).

The first time when the Uranus-Pluto trine perfects at the exact degree in the air element will be next year on 18 Jul 2026 at 4°29 degrees.

Uranus upholds freedom to be of utmost importance, and is also associated with cutting-edge technology.

With Uranus ingressing into Gemini (sign of communications), I expect a plethora of new social media platforms to emerge with emphasis on freedom of speech, while many of the ones we’re using right now become obsolete.

Many of the new social media platforms will respect people’s privacy a lot more, with little to no censorship, especially as we move closer to the Uranus-Pluto trine next year.

Rebellion is also associated with Uranus.

With a Uranus-Pluto trine, the oddball planet is receptive to what Pluto in Aquarius (sign of the common people) has to offer because Pluto (massive transformation) is interacting from a sign that Uranus rules (Aquarius).

Hence, expect mass numbers of people to mobilize themselves (trine) for multiple (Gemini) uprisings & revolutions (Uranus) around the globe to dismantle (Pluto) the old paradigm for new systems to emerge that favor the masses (Aquarius).

It takes Uranus 84 years to travel through all 12 signs of the zodiac.

When transiting Uranus is half-way around our chart, or in other words, when transiting Uranus opposes our natal Uranus, that’s when we go through our Uranus half-return, which occurs between our late 30s and early 40s.

Uranus half-return is akin to a “mid-life crisis” when many are willing to make changes in drastic ways to accommodate what have been missing from their lives, with an intense desire to break free from situations that hold them back.

For instance, someone who has been single for decades can settle down with a partner.

Or someone who has been in relationships almost all their lives can decide to be single.

Then, with a Uranus return at the age of 84, the desire to break free is even more intense with transiting Uranus returning to the same spot as our natal Uranus.

At a personal level, I very much enjoy spending time with those who are going through or had already gone through their Uranus return in their 80s.

I love how these individuals couldn’t care less when it comes to what society thinks, and they’re not afraid to express what they think or feel – all very Uranian!

When outer planets change signs, we feel a shift in and around us, sometimes even immediately.

On the days leading up to the change and during the first few days right after an outer planet moves into a new sign, we get clues and hints as to what these changes are or will be.

Hence, pay attention to any changes in or around you right now and in the upcoming week because they are previews of what’s on the horizon.

Uranus will initially be in Gemini from 7 Jul 2025 until 8 Nov 2025 when it returns to Taurus to tie up loose ends.

It will then come back to Gemini again next year on 26 Apr 2026 to stay in the sign of the twins until 3 Aug 2032.

JUPITER IN CANCER (12 years to travel through all 12 signs)

9 Jun 2025 – 30 Jun 2026 (ingresses into Leo on 30 Jun 2026)

You may notice from the timelines above that some of the outer planets (including Saturn, Uranus & Neptune) will be going in and out of two signs this year, before settling into one sign for a longer period of time starting next year.

2025 is the year where new cycles begin with these planets changing signs, while they also come back to wrap up anything unfinished in the previous signs.
